After finishing up a rather late lunch in a pretty empty Great Hall, Parker decided that it was about time to enjoy the decent weather while he could. He ran back up to his dorm, grabbed his wand, exchanged his short sleeve shirt for a long sleeve one, and proceeded to make his way on out to the grounds of Hogwarts where he noticed that once he arrived there, he wasn't the only student deciding to take advantage of the clear skies.

As Parker made his way towards the Whomping Willow, he couldn't help but smile at the slightly warm air and the soft breeze that was currently blowing through the air. Running his fingers through his hair as he passed a group of girls, he flashed them a dazzling smile and nodded at them. His smile grew as he heard the fit of giggles behind him and shook his head. He knew his ego was already big and the reaction behind him only made it grow. As Parker reached the infamous tree of Hogwarts, he was struck by the sudden inspiration to actually climb it instead of sitting at the bottom of it.

Rolling up the sleeves of his black and white polo, Parker grabbed the lowest branch and proceeded to make his way up into the tree. Once he got about ten feet up, he stopped and leaned back against the tree. He brushed his jeans off and looked out at the grounds. Parker becaome so wrapped up in his thoughts that when he heard a voice below him, he had to quickly grab the branch above him to stop himself from falling.

Scarlett Connory had long been in need of fresh air and the comfort of the outside world, which she had failed to step into for quite a while. How much drearier life had become at Hogwarts. The castle every child always dreamed of coming to was nothing more a few days of fun an a complete bored insanity the rest of the time. Besides that life had become increasingly harder as Scarlett tried to adapt to. This side of her seemed to be developing quicker than she could keep up with emotionally. Sure, she missed the warm smiles from Vee and Lily, but surely she would now become friends with more of her housemates which seemed like the goal now.

Her legs carried her as she absent mindedly wandered. There were no plans on where she was going. But she veered away from any groups of obnoxious loud Gryffindor's and Hufflepuff's, which luckily there weren't many of. They were intolerable, apparantly. Forbidden to be spoken to by her housemates. And so, she had in turn taken this rule into consideration before making any new friends.

Scarlett closed her eyes as she walked, which was not really the smartest thing to be doing. But since, there was no one appearing to be ahead of her she took in the fresh scents of the air through her nose and continued walking. The cool wind made her dark hair blow around behind her. Scarlett opened her eyes just in time to see that she had ended up right in front of the whomping willow. Much to her surprise as she looked up to peer at the top of the willow she sighted a boy, one she had never seen before. Scarlett panicked a little thinking of how to handle this but calmed herself. "Hello up there." She called up to him.

Parker blew out a sigh of relief as he managed to steady himself in time to stop from falling. By the way that the voice below him sounded it sounded like a girl and if there was one thing Parker didn't want to do it was embarrass himself in front of a girl, especially if she was pretty. Parker couldn't help but hope as he began his descent down to the ground.

When he was just a few feet from the ground, Parker decided to be a bit of a show off and jumped the rest of the way, landing just in front of the girl. As he stood up, he brushed his pants off and looked up into the girl's face. Damn, they sure don't make girls like this back Spain! She's cute as hell! Parker flashed her one of his dazzling smiles, ran a hand through his hair, and extended his hand. "Hello. I'm Parker Green, first year Ravenclaw. Pleased to meet you."

Scarlett giggled quietly and unnoticibly into her hand as she watched the boy steady himself, but she knew she would have to do the same. Actually, she would have probably fallen out of the tree and died by now if she had ever somehow found a way to get up it. "Oh, impressive." Scarlett said with a small clap of the hands as he jumped down. And then her breath caught as she looked at his face. He was extremely handsome, perhaps more so than any other boy she had beheld at Hogwarts. She blinked a few times and let out the breath. "Umm, oh!" Scarlett said laughing at herself as she realized he was holding out his hand. He had spoken, she had seen his lips move, but her thoughts had been elsewhere. Much too distracted to listen! "Umm I'm sorry. I didn't catch that." She admitted, slightly embarassed. Realizing she was turning back into her old shy self she straightened her posture and got rid of the smile that had without thought formed on her face.

Parker couldn't help but let out a chuckle when Scarlett asked him to repeat himself. Normally it would irritate him but for some reason, it didn't this time. He noticed that she stopped smiling and flashed her another smile, determined to make her smile. He definitely liked it and wanted to see as much of it as he could.

"Its ok. I was simply introducing myself. I'm Parker Green, first year Ravenclaw," He said while leaning against the tree and looking at the girl. "What about you? Or are you too dazzled by me to think of your name and house," Parker said laughing. He flashed the girl another smile to let her know that he was just teasing. I really hope that she doesn't take offense!

Scarlett could not help but to smile back at him. What was a smile anyway? And it was ok to be with Ravenclaws who respected the Slytherin house, Alex had said. Scarlett listened to his name carefully this time. Parker Green, she took note of that. "Dazzled?" She scoffed, while knowing she could not deny that bit. "I am Scarlett Connory of the grand Slytherin house." She said while taking a deep bow and letting out a light laugh. She looked back at his face and again she was amazed. He was different, because it wasn't just some plain handsome he had. It was a different kind of handsome that Scarlett found herself to be immediately attracted to. "Ravenclaw, eh?" Scarlett repeated. "Good. I've been needing some help with my homework and you look like just the type I could simply copy off." She teased.

"Oh so you don't deny being dazzled. Well I must say that I am quite dazzled by you myself," Parker said while letting out a chuckle and sweeping Scarlett a low bow. "Pleased to make you acquaintance, Mistress Connory of the House of Slytherin," Parker said in a formal tone that held a slight Spanish accent. Parker couldn't help but start laughing when Scarlett mentioned copying his homework.

"Now I don't know if that is going to be very acceptable. We wouldn't want to shame the great houses of Ravenclaw and Slytherin if we get caught now do we," Parker said while sitting down at the base of the trunk of the tree. Patting the space next to him, Parker smiled up at Scarlett and said, "Care to join me so I can get to know you better?"

"No, I don't deny it." Scarlett admitted with a smile. "Well, I don't normally dazzle people, this is quite an accomplishment." She laughed along with Parker as he returned the bow, quite gracefully she might add. "And yours as well, Mr. Parker." Scarlett absent-mindedly began readadjusting her bandages that were wrapped all around her hand and winced in pain as she pressed the rough fabric down on accident.

"Very valid point." She nodded in agreement as she took her hand off the bandage, not wanting to feel that pain again. She had no clue what the cuts looked like now, and she wasn't sure she wanted to. Getting glass in your hand was not a good thing, nor was it very intelligent to not go to the Hospital Wing. But the last time Scarlett had gotten injured, a scar she forever held on her leg, she nurse was so unhelpful there wasn't really a point. Her train of thought was broken as Parker patted the seat next to him. "Sure, why not?" She said with a sigh as she gracefully, and being very mindful of it, sat down.

Parker flashed Scarlett a smile. "How can you not dazzle a person? You are quite pretty and your smile is enough to make someone weak at the knees," Parker said softly. He was glad that he was sitting because what he said about Scarlett's smile was true. Parker smiled when he saw how gracefully Scarlett sat down but it was quickly replaced a frown when he saw her cut up hand.

Without even thinking, Parker reached across the space between him and Scarlett and took her hand within his own. Running his fingers lightly over the half-healed cuts, Parker looked up at Scarlett with sympathy in his eyes. "Scarlett, what happened here," he said softly while still running his fingers lightly over her hand. It was times like this that he wished he had his grandfather's healing touch. Sighing, Parker could only hope that he would one day grow into it as he looked up at Scarlett for an answer.

"Thank you. I could say the same for you. Though pretty would not be the right word, let us replace it with handsome, eh?" Scarlett said with another smile, that apparently could make a person weak at the knees. She would have to remember that. Scarlett stopped breathing when she felt a hand on her own. Parker was examining the cuts on her hand... great. And now she would have to explain that too she guessed in just a moment. Yep, and there was the 'what happened?' Scarlett was a bit preoccupied thinking about how his hand was on hers. "Umm well. I..." She could not think of how to explain it all to someone who had not known about who she had once been and how she changed from being that to what she was now. "I broke a mirror with a hairbrush... And then I pushed the pieces of the mirror... And that is pretty much it." Scarlett said acting like it was no big deal, when in fact it was a painful recollection. She did not want to get into why she had thrown a hairbrush at a mirror, but she was pretty sure he would ask her that.

Scarlett looked again at his hand on her own and wondered what he saw in her. But, hey, she was not going to argue with it. And her stupid confidence needed to build itself and she did not feel like downsizing it. A flash of her old image flashed through her mind. Bright, cheery, blonde. Always doing the right thing, never wanting to be with people who caused problems. That sweet innocent little girl who had been replaced with this.

"We'll definitely have to replace 'pretty' with 'handsome'," Parker said lightly with a small smile gracing his lips. He couldn't help raise an eyebrow when Scarlett said that her injury came from her throwing a hairbrush at a mirror and that she then messed with the broken pieces. Parker couldn't help but be curious as to why Scarlett would do something and figured that someone had probably pushed her to her breaking point.

"If you don't mind me asking," Parker started, while he absentmindedly started stroking her hand, "why would you throw a hairbrush at a mirror and then push the broken pieces?" He looked up at Scarlett and said, "If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But I've got to say, there are fits and then there are fits." Parker put extra emphasis on the second fit. "I think what you did counts in the fits category," Parker finished with a chuckle. Looking back at Scarlett, he smiled and said, "I'm just teasing."

Scarlett nodded with a small chuckle. Her mind was hyper-focused on his stroking of her hand but she tried to listen carefully to his words and breathe all at the same time. It was proving to be more difficult than one would think. And then came that question, of course it was inevitable. "It was definitely a fit" Scarlett said absently recalling the event yet again.

"Well..." Scarlett started unsure if she wanted to reveal her 'old self'. But with all the drama going on at Hogwarts because of her, he would find out soon enough anyway. There was also the small detail of where to begin in this giant mess. "I once was... a bit... Different. I was shy and a do-gooder. And nice to all. And one would begin to wonder, why was I placed in Slytherin? So my housemates, more specifically Alexandria, decided that I needed to become more... Slytherin-like. And so of course Alex did not get along with my previous friends. I chose her over them. I began being more... independent and Slytherin-like? Shall we say." Scarlett stopped momentarily trying to figure out where to start up again. "Many arguments and fights later there I was sitting alone in the girls dormitory and bang!" Scarlett emphasized with a wide gesture of her hands for the 'bang.' "There went that mirror. Then I thought I heard someone and for some reason tried to push the shards aside. And you may ask why I broke this mirror, which was the original question." Scarlett thought about why she had done so in the first place and decided to confide in Parker. "I was angry and confused and still am as to how to... you know be this." Scarlett said. "So I chucked the hairbrush... because I needed to break something." She laughed lightly thinking of how weird this whole thing must sound to Parker, someone who has not known her previously.

Parker listened quietly as Scarlett sat back and explained about how she used to be different and a friend of her's gave her a 'personality makeover', as Parker had dubbed it.He sat back and thought about it for a moment before he decided to speak and give his opinion on the subject.

"I hope you don't take this the wrong way but with the whole thing about Alex making you more Slytherin-like, it sounds to me that she was definitely trying to help you. You don't see too many shy, do-goody Slytherins. That's probably why the Sorting hat put me in Ravenclaw. I've had Slytherins in my family for generations and although my parents were disappointed about me not being in Slytherin, they agreed that I was too nice for Slytherin," Parker said with a smile.

"Now, it's a good thing to be more like others in your house. That way your housemates don't look at you like you're some kind of pariah. But at the same time, don't completely lose yourself to your house," Parker said while running his fingers through his hair and sighing. Looking up at Scarlett and chuckling, Parker said, "Did that make sense at all?"

Scarlett listened as Parker explained his thoughts with a few random nods. "Yes it makes sense." Scarlett replied as he neared the end. "And I know Alex is trying to help me." She thought about it all for a moment again repeating everything he had just said in his mind. "It's not as much the transformation generally. It is just its effects on my friendships. But that was my fault..." Scarlett said regretfully and telling herself to stop before more of those stupid tears came. "Well trust me myself wasn't exactly..." Scarlett trailed off wondering where she was going with this. "Well I had not had much experience with people, really." She finally got out. "And so making a friend was like, well a big deal."

Scarlett tucked her hair behind her ears as she looked at the scars again, but only for a moment before returning her gaze to Parker. She wondered what he thought of her now. After hearing all of that. She almost regretted someone telling she barely knew but he seemed... encouraging and understanding. Though since, again, he was someone she barely knew, who knows? "It must all sound very strange to you." Scarlett said finally speaking her thoughts so they wouldn't bug her any longer.

Parker nodded solemnly when Scarlett mentioned the toll things had took on her friendships. "I understand how hard that can be. But hey, if they ditched you because of that without even giving you a chance to explain then maybe they weren't your real friends anyways," Parker said seriously. "And now you can make some new friends that your housemates can get along with."

Parker smiled another one of his infamous smiles before speaking. "Believe me hun, I've heard a lot stranger things. Stuff like this happens weekly in my crazy family," Parker said with a chuckle. Noticing that Scarlett seemed to be getting a bit upset, Parker happened to glance up into the tree and decided that he was going to try and cheer Scarlett up.

"C'mon," Parker began while standing up and brushing his pants off. He offered his hand down to Scarlett to help her up. "Let's take a stab and climbing the tree here." Parker smiled at her in encouragement and hoped that this would cheer her up.

"Actually it would seem quite the opposite. I kinda ditched them." She admitted ashamed of herself. It sounded so much worse aloud than in her thoughts. "Yeah... new friends." She agreed as she stared off into the sky. Scarlett laughed at his comment about his crazy family, but could think of no response. Speaking of crazy families, she had not talked to her own in a while. She took a mental note to write to them as soon as she had the chance. Scarlett promised herself she would do so, even though she hardly wanted to keep up with them anymore. What a terrible attitude to have towards your family.

The next thing she knew Parker was standing up and offering his hand to her, which she was hardly able to reject. But then he wanted to climb up the tree. "Climbing a tree equals certain death." Scarlett joked as she took his hand and stood up. "At least for me, you have already done it." This would certainly be interesting because she was going to do it now that she had set that challenge for herself but there was always that high chance something would happen. "I'm rather accident prone." She admitted with a smile and a chuckle.

Parker waited till Scarlett was standing until he responded to what she had said about ditching her friends. Cupping his hand under her chin, he smiled down at her. "Hey, everyone makes mistakes; That's how people grow," Parker said softly while looking into her eyes. Unable to stop himself he took a lock of her hair and tucked it behind her ear, allowing his fingers to brush down the side of her neck and then back up to her face. Smiling once more, Parker winked at Scarlett and proceeded to slither around her and pull himself up into the tree.

Parker climbed about ten feet up into the tree before coming to rest on a sturdy looking branch. He leaned down over the branch and smiled down at Scarlett. "Now, I know that a polite little thing like you is not going to leave all alone and defenseless up in this tree," Parker said while giving Scarlett a smirk, "Now are you?" Parker sat back up and leaned against the trunk of the tree. Glancing back down at her, Parker couldn't help but smile and wish that she would join him up in the tree.

Scarlett was taken off guard as she felt Parker's hand under her chin. She swallowed harder as she found it increasingly difficult to breathe, let alone put together a sensible response to his statement. "Well... I... umm... some mistakes are more acceptable than others." Scarlett finally got out, having to set her gaze on something other than Parker's face to be able to speak at all finally. His fingers tickled her neck and she felt her face burning in a way it hadn't in a long time. She finally regained her absent breathe when Parker set his attention on something other than her. "You know, you really shouldn't do that. One of these days I might quit breathing all together." Scarlett teased.

"Defenseless?" She questioned with a laugh. "Hardly." She looked at the tree wondering how someone even approached beginning to climb it. "Fine. I will make an exception." Scarlett said as she latched on to the tree mimicking the way Parker had climbed it. It had looked so easy when he had done it. She grabbed onto anything and everything that she could pull herself up with. Scarlett could only imagine how foolish she looked attempting to climb a tree.

As it turned out, her attempt was a success as she felt her hand reach the branch. She let out a sigh of relief as she tried with difficulty to pull herself up onto it. "A little help?" Scarlett said through gritted teeth as she felt her hold on the branch weakening.

[[I'm gonna powerplay you a bit. I hope you don't mind!]]

Parker smirked to himself and called down to Scarlett. "I am defenseless! I don't have my wand on me and like I said, your smile is enough to bring anyone to their knees. Hence, I am defenseless! But once you get up here, I will not be defenseless," Parker said with a laugh. It was then that he heard Scarlett ask for help a few feet down from him.

Parker climbed a few feet down to where Scarlett was and placed his had over his wrist. "Is this ok? I wouldn't want you to stop breathing now," Parker said with a laugh as he pulled Scarlett up onto the branch. He stayed with her as they climbed up a few more feet, helping her whenever she needed it. When they reached the original branch that Parker was on, Parker once more relaxed against the trunk, pulling Scarlett over with him. He placed his arms around her so she wouldn't fall and chuckled a little. "That wasn't so bad now was it," Parker said. He was secretly glad that Scarlett wasn't facing him because his face was lit up like Rudolph's nose one Christmas Eve night.

"That is fine." Scarlett said her hands starting to sweat as the tightened her hold yet again on the branch. "No, we wouldn't want that," Scarlett said with the only small laugh she could manage. Scarlett tried to stay concentrated, at least as best as she could with Parker there, on climbing up the tree. She was thankful for his help because she was sure if she hadn't had it she would have fallen off and died by now. She was surprised as she made it to the branch that they had been trying to get to at the fact she had made it alive. "Thank you." Scarlett said with a slight nod at Parker for his help.

Scarlett felt her heartbeat quicken as he pulled her nearer to him on the branch and let out a long, steady breath. When she felt Parker's arms around her she felt completely safe up in the tree when normally she would be clinging to its branches for dear life. "It wasn't terrible... though several times you proved to be very distracting from the task." Scarlett teased with a smile. "But it still isn't a pastime I would take on alone! Or even with anybody besides you."

Parker tightened his hold on Scarlett slightly as he laughed so she wouldn't fall. "Me, distracting?" Parker leaned in towards Scarlett's ear and chuckled. "Now why would you ever find me distracting, Miss Connory," Parker whispered in Scarlett's ear before chuckling again. "I can assure you that I do not do it purposely. Unless you want me too."

Parker couldn't help the smile that erupted on his face when she said she wouldn't climb the tree with anyone but him. Chuckling slightly, Parker said, "I'm going to hold you to that Scarlett. Climbing this tree will be our little thing with each other and no one else. Deal?" Parker released his hold on Scarlett momentarily to shift his weight against the tree and suddenly felt a sinking horror when he realized that Scarlett was starting to fall.

Scarlett's face began to gain a red coloring again as she felt Parker so close to her. "Well, Mr. Green, you are quite distracting because are quite the charmer," Scarlett responded with a smile. "Whether you do it purposefully or not it still has she same effect," She added referring to her lack of the ability to breathe whenever he worked his magic so easily on her. And without even taking notice of his abilities he did so, it was quite amazing, actually, and rather hard to match. "I want you to," Scarlett said absently as she thought about how different she was being around Parker. She could not tell what was her and what wasn't her anymore. But this conversation wasn't strained at all, so it must be her. It was easy to be herself around Parker because he seemed to hold no expectations for her, and thus she could be herself without feeling the need to impress, though she was acting a bit more flirty than usual.

"Deal," Scarlett said with a laugh pleased to hear Parker's response. Scarlett couldn't quit smiling as she sat there with Parker, but something changed that in a mere moment. As Parker moved the slightest bit she felt herself beginning to slip ever so slightly at first of the branch, having not been holding on herself and being completely dependent upon Parker's support. She shrieked as felt herself lose complete balance on the branch and began to fly forward as she waved her hands helplessly in the air.

It all seemed to happen so fast she could hardly realize what was going on. Her hands hit, with much force, multiple branches as she stuggled to grab one. She felt the branches hitting her hardly as she was lunging forward. Finally, her hand grabbed on to one. Scarlett looked up to see that the branch hardly appeared like a steady one to be holding on to, let alone the very end of it, where she was located. She begin swinging herself right trying to reach farther to the part of it closer to the center of the tree. Scarlett's hands began to sweat again as she pulled herself up by her left hand and attempted to swing one arm over the tree branch to gain a better grip of it.

(OOC: Lol. Wow I bet that post was really confusing. I didn't really have any guess as to what it would feel like to fall of a tree! I think it is probably really hard to follow what the heck she is doing.)

Parker's heart nearly popped out of his chest when he heard Scarlett's scream of fear as she fell. He couldn't help but watch in horror as she fell down the tree and hit a few branches on the way down before grabbing an unstable branch. Looking at the base of the tree, he could tell that it wouldn't be long before it broke and Scarlett's swinging definitely wasn't helping things.

"Scarlett! You have to stop swinging. That branch is going to break any second and if you don't stop, it'll break sooner," Parker shouted down to Scarlett. As if to support his claim, the branch started to crack and it was then that Parker sprang into action. Going as fast as he possibly could, Parker weaved in and out of the branches on his way down to Scarlett. He went around the tree a bit to avoid the branch she was on and when he was low enough to the ground, he jumped down and ran around the tree so that he was right beneath where she was hanging.

"Scarlett, you have to listen to me now. When I tell you to, let go of the branch. I'll be right here to catch you. I promise that I'll catch you, ok," Parker shouted up to Scarlett. He was mentally kicking himself for having her climb the tree with him even though she was scared. He only hoped that this wouldn't scare her away from him. Sighing, Parker took his Polo shirt off and wiped his hands on his wife beater and took a stance to catch Scarlett. "Alright Scarlett, go ahead and let go! I'll be right here."

[[In case you're wondering why Parker took his shirt off, it was so that he could make sure he caught you and not have you slip on his shirt.]]

(OOC: Wow... Scarlett's had two near death experiences in about a week.)

Scarlett looked up as Parker began to speak. What he said made absolute sense and she abruptly quit moving and had a slight hint of embarrassment at the idea to swing on unstable branch. Something had obviously not clicked in her mind. Scarlett gasped and shut her eyes tightly as she heard a slight cracking noise, which was undoubtably the branch that was supporting her. "Oh my Go--," She began as she thought about it but quit speaking when she forced her eyes open and saw the branch cracking. She wished she hadn't looked. Scarlett assumed it would not have been nearly as scary of a situation if she did not know how near she was to falling.

Again she closed her eyes as she felt her grip on the branch begin to losen. The result of having no upper body strength whatsoever. Scarlett tried with a great deal of effort to calm her increasingly unsteady breath but it seemed to just quicken more and more at an uneven pace. She was verging on the point of hyperventilation.

Scarlett tried to calm it yet again as she listened for Parker's seemingly distant voice. She nodded slightly to the fact that she would listen to him. What else could she do? She was hardly prepared, however, for the plan he had decided upon. She freaked out at the fact that he apparantly wanted her to let go... so he could attempt some stunt to catch her. Though she did trust him she found it hard to trust her life with him. But there wansn't an option so when he said it was time to let go she took in a deep breath, squeezed her eyes tightly shut, and let go of the branch one hand at a time. Scarlett couldn't watch as she fell downward, only imagining the perilous oblivion of death.

Parker watched, the fear in his eyes evident, as Scarlett let go of the branch she was holding and started falling the rest of the way down to the ground. Parker set his feet and held his arms out to catch her as she reached him. Once she was in his arms, Parker stumbled a minute trying to make sure he wasn't going to fall. Once he had regained his footing, he placed Scarlett on the ground and pulled her into his arms.

Parker was quiet for a moment while he hugged Scarlett, a million thoughts running through his head. OMG, I hope she isn't angry with me. I wouldn't blame her if she hated me for allowing her to get hurt. SHITE, I haven't checked to see if she was hurt yet! Pulling back from Scarlett, Parker cupped her face with her hands and looked into her eyes, hoping to convey his sincerity in what he was about to say. "Scarlett, I am so sorry. You said you weren't into climbing trees and I pushed you into doing it anyways," Parker said with a sigh.

Dropping his hands from her face, Parker looked down to the ground in shame. "I'll completely understand if you never want to talk to me again."

Scarlett held her breathe and kept her eyes closed until she felt herself safely fall into Parker's arms. Letting out a deep sigh and opening her eyes slowly she felt her feet hit the steadfast and perfectly stable ground that she would not leave again for a while.

Scarlett gasped quietly as Parker pulled her into a hug. With a smile she found herself hugging him back. Her smile faded slightly as he pulled away. "No, no," Scarlett said regaining her smile to show that she wasn't unhappy with him in the slightest bit. "It's ok. I should be thanking you." Scarlett's eyes flickered away from his face for a moment as she thought of what to say. People were not usually easily convinced that someone wasn't mad at them. "You saved me, Parker!" Scarlett exclaimed trying to show what the dominant part of the event was in her mind. "I have near death experiences all the time, don't worry one more moment about it." Scarlett met his eyes again as she widened her grin. "And what if we had simply sat here? What fun would that have been? It was..." she trailed off looking for the right word, "exciting." Scarlett watched him carefully waiting to see his response.

She brushed her fingers along his chin as she tilted it up slightly from it's downcast position. "I love talking to you," Scarlett responded quietly attempting to get across to him that her falling out of a tree did not overshadow their friendship.

Parker smiled as he felt Scarlett's fingers on his face, tilting up to look at her. "Well then if that's the case, I guess you're stuck with me aren't you," Parker said, smiling at Scarlett. "I will only go away if you tell me to and even then, I'll still bug you until you get so exasperated that you summon be back to your presence."

Grabbing Scarlett's hand, he sat down against the tree and pulled her down with him, placing his arm around her shoulder once she was next to him. "I guess I have to be thankful that you find falling out of a tree exciting. Otherwise you'd probably have run off by now, screaming about some crazy, irresistibly handsome Ravenclaw that you met by the Whomping Willow now don't I," Parker said while twirling a strand of Scarlett's hair around his finger. Smiling down at Scarlett, Parker was suddenly struck by an idea. "Hey Scarlett, I think I just found the perfect way to make up not keeping you safe up in the tree," Parker said with a sly smile.

Scarlett smiled upon seeing how easily Parker was convinced that she was absolutely not upset with him in any form or fashion. "Stuck with you?" She asked in amusement. "That sounds like a negative thing." Scarlett stared up at him. "Oh how incredibly tragic that would be, m'dear!" Scarlett said in a mock accent as she put the back of her hand to her forehead."I would never, ever do that. Life would simply be unbearable without you," Scarlett teased through her dramatic acting. She started to act like she was going to faint but stopped herself before she actually lost her footing.

Without any resistance she allowed him to pull her down by him to sit by the tree. "Yeah that sounds about right," Scarlett responsded with a laugh. "But I would never run off from you. I don't think I could," Scarlett admitted lightly.

The liked the feeling of Parker twirling her hair. Her face was downcast as she thought. It was unknown to her what Parker could possibly see as unique about her compared to all the other girls at school. She wondered if he even liked her. It seemed that way, but Scarlett had no experience at all with guys, so she couldn't be sure. "What's your idea?" She asked with a smile as she brought her gaze back up to his.

Parker couldn't help but laugh heartily when Scarlett said that life without him would be unbearable. "Well I'm glad to know that I am such an important person in your life, even though I did almost cause your very untimely demise a few moments ago," Parker said, still chuckling a little. Parker couldn't help but blush when Scarlett said that she didn't think she could ever run away from him. That made him very happy and when Scarlett asked what his idea was, Parker got a small smile on his face and turned to look at her.

"Well," Parker began slowly as he suddenly became nervous, "I was thinking that maybe sometime soon, I could take you out on a date to Hogsmeade. Y'know, to make up for the tree and everything." Looking at Scarlett Parker smiled again and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "How does that sound to you, little Lettie? You don't mind that I call you that right," Parker said somewhat nervously, thinking about the nickname that came out of his mouth before he had a chance to stop it.

"Well, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and really I am not just saying that. I have almost died so many times before." Scarlett thought about all the times as a child when she saw her life flash before her eyes, and this pattern had only increased after coming to Hogwarts. The time with Vee in the corridor that was hidden by that tapestry was simply unforgettable, it was one of the best things that had happened to her after arriving at this school. Who knew one could enjoy school so much?

"A date?" Scarlett questioned in disbelief. It sounded more harsh then she meant it to, but it was more from the shock of her, of all people, being asked on a date by Parker. She nodded a little as her eyes flickered from and then back to his face. "That would be wonderful," Scarlett responded after a moment of thought as she put on another smile. "Lettie? I kind of like it... I've never really had a nickname before... besides Scar," Scarlett just remembered that one that Alex had given her, though no one else seemed to use it.
